High contrast

Raises body and secondary text toward WCAG AAA and hardens every border.

Letter spacing

Wider letter and word spacing, taller lines and a narrower measure. Helpful for dyslexia. Spacing rather than a novelty typeface, because spacing is what the research supports.

Underline every link

For users who cannot rely on colour alone to spot a link.

Stop animation

Turns off every transition and reveal, independent of your device setting.

What is built in.

These need no setting. They apply to every page.

Keyboard

Every control is reachable and operable by keyboard. Focus is always visible. A skip link is the first thing in the tab order on every page.

Screen readers

One h1 per page, correct heading order with no skipped levels, real main, nav and footer landmarks, and a description on all 261 images.

Contrast

Every text and background pair on the site is measured, not estimated. All pass WCAG AA. Most pass AAA.

Targets

Every button and link is at least 44 by 44 pixels.

Motion

The site respects prefers-reduced-motion. Animation is limited to a single scroll reveal, and it never carries information on its own.

No JavaScript required

Every page renders and every link works with JavaScript disabled. Nothing on this site depends on client-side scripting to be readable.
