Research Center
Bring a thesis that could change something.
The Research Center supervises capstone and thesis work on sustainability in the built environment. If your proposal could solve a real problem, we can offer supervision, data and a district to test it in.
How to propose one
Deliberately short. We would rather read a focused abstract than a long proposal.
- Submit an extended abstract
- Around a thousand words: the question, why it matters, your method, and what you would need from us.
- Scope it with a supervisor
- If it fits a research pillar, we work with you to make the question answerable within your timeframe.
- Use the living lab
- Where the work needs real data or a real installation, the district is available as a study environment.
- Publish it properly
- Completed work is published with authorship, a year and a citation, not filed as a blog post.

Supervision, and somewhere to test it.
Most thesis work stops at the literature. Here it can go further, because there is a functioning district willing to host an installation and a measurement programme already running.
Send the abstract.
Students, early career researchers and industry practitioners all propose work here. We read everything that arrives.
